Ewood Park carries the memory of Blackburn's title-winning years, and while the home crowd can be quiet, the big Darwen End away allocation means visiting fans often bring the noise. Here is how to do a matchday in Blackburn.

Getting there

Ewood Park sits in a residential area a little south of Blackburn town centre. The nearest station is Mill Hill, about a 10 minute walk, while Blackburn's main station is roughly 20 minutes away with better connections. Parking around the ground is residential street parking, so the train and a walk in is the sensible option.

The away end

Away supporters are housed in the Bryan Douglas Darwen End, behind one goal, and it is a big one: a standard allocation of around 4,000 that can be extended well beyond if the upper tier opens. That makes it one of the larger away ends in the division, and travelling fans often out-sing the home crowd. Turn up in good time for the searches.

Around the ground

The away pub of choice is the Fernhurst, a large pub around five minutes from the ground that serves food, with a couple of other away-friendly options nearby. The ground itself was rebuilt in the Jack Walker era and has a family-friendly, traditional feel. A solid Lancashire away day to tick off.
