Emirates Stadium
London, United Kingdom · matchday guide
The Emirates is one of the most comfortable big grounds in the country, and when Arsenal get going the noise rolls right down from the upper tiers. Here is how to do a matchday in N7.
Getting there
The Emirates sits in Holloway, north London, wrapped in a tight grid of streets and walkways. Arsenal station on the Piccadilly line is the closest, almost at the turnstiles; Holloway Road (also Piccadilly) and Highbury and Islington (Victoria line and Overground) are short walks. Drayton Park rail runs on some matchdays. There is effectively no matchday parking, so the Tube is the only sensible way in.
The away end
Away supporters are housed in the Clock End, the south side of the ground, in the lower tier corner. The view is good and you are behind the goal for one half. Expect the walkways around the stadium to be busy and stewarded, so give yourself time from the station.
Around the ground
The bridges and concourses around the Emirates carry the Arsenal history, with the cannons and player murals worth a walk-round before kickoff. The old Highbury stands, now flats, are a short stroll away if you want a bit of the club's past. A well-connected London ground to add to your grounds list.
