City Ground
Nottingham, United Kingdom · matchday guide
The City Ground sits right on the banks of the Trent, one of the great riverside grounds, and Forest's support brings the history. Here is how to do a matchday in NG2.
Getting there
The City Ground sits on the south bank of the River Trent, a 15 to 20 minute walk from Nottingham city centre and station across Trent Bridge. Nottingham's trams and buses serve the city, and plenty of fans walk it along the river. Matchday parking nearby is limited, so walking in from town is the easy option.
The away end
Away supporters are housed in the Bridgford Stand, at the south end of the ground. It is a tight, traditional ground close to the pitch, so a good travelling support makes itself heard. Arrive in good time for the searches on the riverside approach.
Around the ground
The walk along the Trent to the ground, past Trent Bridge and with Notts County's Meadow Lane just across the river, is one of the nicer approaches in the country. Matchday is riverside pubs, flags and history. A cracking one to tick off.
