Carrow Road
Norwich, United Kingdom · matchday guide
Carrow Road is one of the best-placed grounds in the country, a short walk from the station on the banks of the Wensum, and Norwich bring a warm welcome and a proper Championship atmosphere. Here is how to do a matchday in Norwich.
Getting there
Carrow Road sits right in the city, only a four to ten minute walk from Norwich station. From the station you turn left along Koblenz Avenue or cut through the riverside leisure complex and you are there. It is one of the easiest grounds in the country to reach by train, so rail is far and away the best way in.
The away end
Away supporters are housed in one side of the South Stand, on the side nearest the Barclays Stand, effectively a corner and end section. It is a compact ground with a good atmosphere and a reputation for a friendly matchday. Turn up in good time for the searches.
Around the ground
The traditional away gathering point is the Compleat Angler by the river opposite the station, and the riverside retail park nearby has more options. It is a pleasant, easy city-centre and riverside matchday, and Norwich is worth making a weekend of. A cracking one to tick off.
