Amex Stadium
Brighton, United Kingdom · matchday guide
The Amex, Falmer Stadium, is one of the best modern grounds in the country, tucked into the Sussex Downs with a proper matchday buzz. Here is how to do a matchday at Brighton.
Getting there
The Amex sits at Falmer, a few miles northeast of Brighton, and it is built for the train: Falmer station is right next to the ground, about a 10 minute ride from Brighton and Lewes, with extra services on matchdays. Driving is discouraged and parking is very limited, so the train really is the way in.
The away end
Away supporters are housed behind one goal, in the allocation at the north end of the ground. It is a modern bowl with good sightlines and a lively home crowd, so a decent away following makes for a good day out. Follow the crowd from Falmer station.
Around the ground
The setting in the South Downs is one of the nicer ones in the league, with the University of Sussex campus right alongside. Brighton itself, the seafront and the Lanes, makes it a strong away day to build a trip around. A well-run, easy ground to tick off.
